Its never been a secret that Vera Wang loves black. In the past years most of her bridal collections included atleast one black gown and a multitude of black accessories such as sashes, gloves and shoes. In fact I dare say that she loves black just as much as she loves tulle and we know how important tulle is to Vera.
Her Fall 2012 collection which was only released this week seems to be an ode to black; more than half of the gowns in that collection are black and the rest of the collection was shown in caramel tones, with not a single white gown in the entire collection.
I love vera's unique point of view but it would have been nice to see a few ivory gowns in the show, especially since the features of the dress photograph much better in light colors than in black. Plus lets be honest how many brides are really going to order those gowns in black?

WOW!! I forwarded this page to my friend: I've known her for years and she has always said that when she gets married she is wearing black. I know most would choose those dresses for prom or some similar occasion because they have more of a gothic than a wedding feel to them. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but I admit I do quite like the designs, especially the fishtail gowns. Nice to see someone step out of the box, even if it is to the dark side!
